HUNTINGTON, Ind. – The six members of The Multicultural Activities Council initiated plans to celebrate Asian-Pacific Islander heritages in April.
On February 23, 2026, Vanessa Gradeless and the participants of The Multicultural Activities Council met to discuss the special event details for an April 16 dinner like origami and henna stations for students to enjoy as well as leighs and flower crowns for students to wear.

This year’s event will be similar to last year’s (2025). (Screenshot from MAC’s Instagram).
The team decided that the celebration would be held during dinner at the University’s dining commons so that students could use their daily meal credits for the event.
“We want to dedicate this night to them and let them feel celebrated,” said Gradeless.
The Multicultural Activities Council organizes other campus events such as Latino Fest, Soup N’ Scoop, and Soul Food Café to celebrate cultural traditions and educate students at Huntington University about different cultural backgrounds.
