Billions need prayer during this global pandemic.

By Kennedi McCoy, Staff Writer

This week, for those who need prayer around the world, I’d like to focus on families and people who have been directly affected by COVID-19.

When you pray this month, I ask that you pray for the mental health of people all over the world. We are in a situation that globally is affecting people mentally. People are scared, stressed and worried about what is next.

Pray that people find comfort in their surroundings. Pray that people use this time to get closer to God. Pray that people begin to care, and those that have prayed that they continue to.

Times like these require unity in our efforts to make a safe world again.

I also ask that you pray for those that are working hard every day to find the cure. Pray that they stay strong, feel appreciated and are healthy. I’d also like to ask that you pray for people that still have to go to work every day and work hard to provide people with food and other essentials.

Lastly, I ask that you pray for yourself, too. Take a breath and talk to God about your struggles and fears, and find comfort in Him and His word. I also ask that you stay positive and stay indoors.

Blessings to all,
Kennedi McCoy.

Verses for the month:

“So do not fear, for I am with you;
Do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
– Isaiah 41:10

“A cheerful heart is good medicine,
but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.”
– Proverbs 17:22
