SGA has raised awareness of the earthquake that destroyed numerous towns in Mexico and the hurricane that hit Puerto Rico. So far, the student body has helped to raise $760 for Mexico and $760 for Puerto Rico. SGA plans to use these funds in the near future to help the towns that have been struck by these natural disasters.

SGA will be hosting Heart to Heart on the first Wednesday of every month at 8 p.m. Heart to Heart is an opportunity for students to learn about and discuss topics happening in our world. The hope is that students will come together in community to learn from one another and be more aware of what is occurring in society.

Impact Initiative is a scholarship offered to sophomores outside of SGA. This scholarship is aimed towards students who positively impact their community. Students looking to apply for the scholarship must be a second-year student at Huntington University who have completed their first two college semesters at HU, plant to complete their degree at the university and have a GPA of 2.7 or higher.
