Bill Nye comes out guns blazing in his first season of “Bill Nye Saves the World.” Nye promises to talk about important and controversial issues, and he does exactly that.

Do you remember the “science guy” from middle school that we all grew up with? That Bill Nye is a distant memory. This “2017 version”

Bill Nye is a politically-driven scientist who uses his show to push his agenda. If hearing one-sided arguments is about climate change, anti-vaccine conspiracies and artificial intelligence is your cup of tea, then “Bill Nye Saves the World” is a perfect show for you to binge on.

As most of you know I am a liberal-minded person but even Bill Nye pushes it too far for my taste. Nye’s new show is a complete contrast to the “Bill Nye, the Science Guy” show that most of our science teachers made us watch when they weren’t in the mood to teach a lesson.

“Bill Nye Saves the World” is geared to adults who are fans or modern science. The new show also follows a new format. Nye is “live” with a studio audience as various celebrities make an appearance with the science guy (one has to get views somehow).

The scientific demonstrations are the only positive to his Netflix series. Unfortunately these neat and interesting science experiments are tested only in an attempt to prove his point and further his agenda that he set up from the first episode.

I think Nye’s time as the fun science guy is in the past and maybe a move to a late-night talk show would be better fitting.
