For me, essential oils are just that— essential. For the last 7 months, I have used Young Living (YL) Oils for nearly everything, and in my personal opinion, YL is the only brand of essential oils worth the money. You can access the power of essential oils in a variety of different ways including aromatic diffusion, topical application, and dietary consumption—YL brand being the only one that you can consume.

The oils are a lifestyle that bring positivity into your life by enhancing physical and spiritual wellness, purifying the home, refining your beauty routine, and countless other ways. Individual, blended, or any combination of oils can completely replace some medications or over the counter drugs. There are hundreds of different blends and individual oils that come in a variety of different forms such as single oils, blends, roll-ons, dietary blends, massage singles/blends, and collections.

To give you an idea of their benefits, I will describe my favorite oils and how they have improved my life. During allergy season, I combine lavender, peppermint, and lemon oils together in an edible vegetable capsule. Ever since I have started using this combination, I have not suffered from allergies as I used to.

Each of oils has multiple uses. For example lavender is not only used in my allergy pill, but also for skin care, sleep, calming, and on my dog’s coat to keep her coat healthy and prevent itching. Lemon can be used to add taste into your water, cooking, and skin care—it works wonders on skin blemishes.

Peppermint is a miracle worker and the first oil I purchased. I suffer from serious sinus infections each year around February, and my friend suggested that I try adding peppermint oil into my water each day and applying one drop to the hard pallet of my mouth. The difference was immediate! Peppermint can also be used for headaches, muscle cramps, menstrual cramps, and stomachaches.

A combination oil that I use nearly every day is a blend called Stress-away. Yes, it does exactly that. It contains oils like lavender, vanilla, lime, copaiba, and other pure essentials that help with relaxation. I typically apply this to my wrists each morning and as needed throughout the day.

Investing in some key essential oils can revolutionize your life and provide a natural alternative to some medicines. Look for ones that fit your needs and lifestyle, and you may be surprised what all they have to offer!
